On Wednesday night, at the Star Screen awards, Akshay Kumar, came on stage and after a long boring speech (read from teleprompter he KNEW he was winning?) dedicated the award (Best Actor for Singh Is Kinng) to Aamir Khan for Ghajini, and walked off without collecting the trophy.

We think it would've been a more gracious gesture if he'd collected the trophy and later sent it to Aamir's house with a note. Guess Akki didn't want his 'noble' act to go unnoticed.
Besides what's the logic of dedicating an award to an actor who doesn't believe in them? It's like gifting a puppy to someone who is allergic to dogs! Unless of course it is a dog called Shah Rukh Khan.
Tina tears her gown
An eyewitness reveals that Twinkle was in tears when her shoe got stuck at the exit while walking out of the awards and she stumbled. Apparently, Akshay was there to hold her but she tore her gown in the process. After that, she hurried towards her car and left before anyone could see the damage done.
Mera Desh Aur Mere Gown Ki Gori
Kangana Ranaut stood apart in her white sari, while most of the B-Town belles opted for evening gowns. We loved Tabu's gown, we must add.u00a0
Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif came out in red gowns and this time around, PC won the round. Katrina's gown was held at the back with a safety pin, and some fabric sticking out the back!
Amrita Rao chose yet another boring ensemble. We weren't very impressed by Mehr Jesia and Sussanne Roshan either.
Flare stare
Koena Mitra in a flare skirt had great trouble getting through the narrow metal detector at the entrance.
We wish she'd not OD-ed on pink too purse, nailpaint, belt and net at the bottom of her skirt. Koena flashed her back tattoo but we prefer Barbara Mori's tatoo on her ankle. Sexy!
Yaana can croon
Yaana has something to sing about. Her debut alum, I Believe In Love is up for release soon. The actress exercised her vocal chords at the launch of Daddy's Windsong Wednesdays at Il Terrazzo, Juhu.
The platinum blonde (she had dark black tresses earlier) sang to an audience that comprised friends from the modelling and singing fraternity. Hope her new beginning goes well.
