Sujay Jairaj, who's been busy in the education field (his family manages the Narsee Monjee Educational Trust), has now ventured into filmmaking, thanks to his passion. Sujay is a passionate badminton player and admires Saina Nehwal. When he spoke to close friend Amole Gupte about wanting to make a film on the celebrated player, they decided to meet her together.

"She agreed and we were more than happy. She is such an amazing professional with no illusions of glamour or fame. She is down to earth, practical and extremely professional. Even when she agreed to do this, she made it amply clear that badminton comes first and we have to accommodate that accordingly," says Sujay.

Expected to roll by March 2016, the film will be based on the badminton star's autobiography along with research by the production team. "It is an honour to be making a film on her. She is the only world no.1 that India has ever produced in any sporting field," he adds.

The team is still shortlisting a few names to play the sportswoman: "It will be an A-lister, for sure," Sujay signs off.
