After waiting out two years of the pandemic to tie the knot, Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal are ensuring that their big day turns out exactly how they imagined it. Even as work commitments are keeping the actor couple busy, the prep for the October shaadi is on in full swing. It is heard that Chadha has zeroed in on a Bikaner-based artisanal jewellery designer for D-Day.

mid-day had earlier reported that the bridal trousseau will be created by local designers, in what is an attempt by Chadha to promote their craft (Old-world charm for their big day, Sep 6). In keeping with the same thought, she has trusted her family jeweller to design customised pieces for her.

A source reveals, “The family jeweller has been in the business for decades, and is known to do selective work. The jewellery being designed is inspired by the royal aesthetics of Rajasthan. In addition, Richa has given some of her family’s heirloom pieces and the hand-me-downs from her grandmother to be reworked. Since they hold sentimental value, she wants to wear them for the main ceremony.”
