When you’ve got Hrithik Roshan on board, you’ve got to think big. Farah Khan knows it only too well, and has booked a suburban single-screen theatre to film a commercial with the superstar tomorrow. Though they have yet to unite for a movie, the actor-director duo previously collaborated on an ad, not to mention several dance numbers.

“Last December, Farah had directed Hrithik for an incense stick ad that was shot in Film City, Goregaon. This time, he has lent his face to a brand of stainless steel and iron rods. A special set has been created inside the cinema, which forms the backdrop,” reveals a source. Both have been cautious about shooting during the pandemic, and will film in adherence with safety norms. The source adds, “While the lean team has been tested, the venue will be sanitised thoroughly. Farah is fully vaccinated.”

In 2019, it was widely reported that Khan was to direct Roshan in the remake of Satte Pe Satta (1982), but the plan didn’t materialise. The choreographer-filmmaker says that she has thoroughly enjoyed working with the actor ever since they teamed up for Ek pal ka jeena in Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai (2000). “Hrithik is always great fun to shoot with. He is fabulous,” she says, looking forward to their latest project.
