Isha Koppikar: Shah Rukh Khan treated women in high regard

Don

Isha Koppikar who shared screen space with Shah Rukh Khan in Farhan Akhtar's 2006 remake of 'Don' spoke to mid-day.com on the actor's birthday.

How are you feeling now, considering today is King Khan’s birthday?
He's definitely someone worth celebrating so I'm as happy as his fans for Shahrukh Khan's birthday.

What was your first reaction when you got to know that you would be sharing screenspace Shah Rukh Khan?
I had always been an admirer of his work and so ofcourse I was elated to know that I'd be sharing the screen with him.

Can you recall your first shot with Shah Rukh Khan?
For the first time when I shot with Shahrukh, more than the scene he was always on the set at the time of when I am shooting, I was extremely nervous, I was very scared how to perform because he was right there in front of me while I was doing a scene, and we were in Malaysia shooting for Don.

Were you nervous seeing him in front of you?
A tad bit but only because he's such a charmer.

According to you what are the three qualities that makes him the King Khan that he is?
His down to earth attitude, his acting skills and his generosity.

Your fondest memory of working with Shah Rukh Khan?
I remember how he was such a respectful gentleman and he treated women in such high regard. He made everyone feel special.

Did you gift him anything OR Did he gift you anything?
No...

How was your overall experience working with him?
It was just wonderful. He guides you wherever necessary with a lovely smile and does not throw his weight around. He is the biggest star of Bollywood but never behaves like one and that's his special quality.

Since its his birthday today, what is it that you want to wish him?
I want to wish him a lifetime of happiness and health and may he find the strength to live his life to the fullest.
