The much-awaited film festival of the year, Jio MAMI Film Festival 2019 is all set to woo the audience with its various movies from October 17 to 24. On Sunday, the makers hosted a MAMI Movie Mela in Bandra, and it was attended by who's who of Bollywood. At the Jio MAMI Movie Mela with Star, 2019, Alia Bhatt, who walked the red carpet with Kareena Kapoor Khan, was in conversation with the actress and filmmaker Karan Johar. When Johar asked Alia if she ever imagined there would be a day she might be Kareena's sister-in-law, the Bajrangi Bhaijaan star instead replied, "I'll be the happiest girl in the world!"

Speaking about the same in a media interaction, Alia Bhatt responded, "Honestly I never thought about it but I don't want to think about it now also. We will cross that bridge when we come to it."

Karan Johar also mentioned: "I will be exceptionally happy and we will be standing there with a thali! I do hope, eventually, whenever you do kind of get into that zone, you will actually handle and treat your career like Kareena has."

Alia Bhatt also said the way Kareena handled her career after marriage was a big learning.
"She has genuinely been an inspiration to me. Earlier there was this thing that if an actress gets married, her career slows down a bit but she totally broke that for all of us," she added. Both the actors will soon be seen together on screen in Karan Johar's directorial venture, Takht.
Janhvi Kapoor also attended the film festival, where she walked in the red carpet in a white shirt, paired with metallic pants and white pumps for the outing. Speaking of her journey, Janhvi will be next seen in Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, Takht, Dostana 2, Ghost Stories and Roohi Afza. It seems like the Dhadak girl has the busiest year ahead!
Ananya Panday, who opted for a chic beige dress to attend the movie mela of MAMI 2019, will be next seen in Pati, Patni Aur Woh and Khaali Peeli.
Speaking of Ananya Panday, she made her Bollywood debut with Punit Malhotra's Student Of The Year, along with Tiger Shroff and Tara Sutaria.
Radhika Madan, the Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota fame, also attended the Jio MAMI movie mela hosted in Bandra, Mumbai. The actress' co-ord ethnic wear made the heads turn.
Mrunal Thakur, who was last seen in Batla House, opposite John Abraham, opted for a black turtleneck top, which she paired with a black pleated skirt for the outing.
Filmmakers Meghna Gulzar, who is helming real-life inspired stories Chhapaak and Sam said that she isn't making biopics to follow any trend and feel chronicling known stories for the big screen can sometimes be tougher than narrating the unknown ones. The biographical drama, Sam is based on 1971 War hero Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, headlined by Vicky Kaushal.
