Captain Marvel co-director Ryan Fleck has confirmed that the shooting of the Brie Larson-fronted film is complete. Fleck, who is helming the superhero movie with directing-writing partner Anna Boden, teased the news on Instagram. He posted a picture of a shooting schedule, with the page stating Day 75 of 75, which suggests that the film has just finished-up production. Fleck captioned the photo: "We got next..."

Captain Marvel, which is set to release on March 8, 2019, is a first Marvel Studios project to be fronted by a female superhero. Larson portrays the character of Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel, a US Air Force pilot whose DNA is fused with that of an alien during an accident, which imbues her with the powers of superhuman strength, energy projection, and flight.
The film also features Samuel L Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Algenis Perez Soto and Jude Law, among others.
