On Tuesday evening, fans grooved to their favourite numbers by the American pop rock band Maroon 5. The concert, held at the Mahalaxmi Racecourse, started a little later than 8pm. Singer and record producer Zaeden opened the act, followed by DJ Mailbox. Maroon 5’s frontman Adam Levine, on vocals, Jesse Carmichael on keyboard, James Valentine on guitar, Matt Flynn on drums, PJ Morton on keyboard, and Sam Farrar on bass kept the evening energetic and entertaining.

Maroon 5 apologises to Mumbai
Maroon 5 began their maiden concert in India with Animals, One More Night, and an apology. “How’re you doing, Mumbai? Sorry we’re late. I know you guys have been our fans for a long time," said frontman Adam Levine. "We've been a band for a long time, we've been around the world, but we've never been here before. But we made it, and that's what's important. We're here today! We appreciate your love and support for the last 20 years. I promise, tonight, we'll do the best show we can, alright?"
Maroon 5 made their concert all about the fans who had been waiting for the band to finally come to India. "As a band we have one rule - we as Maroon 5 we encourage and love it when fans sing with us. Will you guys sing with us tonight?" The next song was definitely a sing-along - Stereo Hearts, their 2011 chart-topping collab with Gym Class Heroes. They followed it up with Harder, Lucky Strike and Sunday Morning.
The stage came alive with dazzling visual spectacle, complementing Maroon 5's masterful storytelling through music. Levine commanded the stage with his trademark charisma, effortlessly navigating from the falsettos of Payphone to the sultry charm of What Lovers Do, the infectious energy of Makes Me Wonder, the enchanting tones of I Wanna Be Your Lover, the raw intensity of Heavy and the anthemic beats of Maps. Between songs, Levine paused to connect with the audience, expressing his awe at the warmth and energy of the Indian crowd.
Adam makes a tearful fan's day
Mid-concert, Adam called a fan up on stage. Named Suman, the fan was in tears as she handed him a bouquet and said, "My whole life has been about your songs." In return, Adam sang a few lines of 'She Will Be Loved' for her.
Another heartfelt moment arrived as Levine introduced ‘Memories’, dedicating it to those we hold close yet far away. Phone lights swayed across the crowd like stars, creating an ethereal atmosphere that lingered long after the song ended.
