The lead single from Maggie Rogers’ new album, Surrender, That’s where I am, is a worthy addition to your playlist. It kicks off with Rogers’ powerful ballad-like vocals, and emerges to be delightfully playful. It’s a fitting melody to employ for a track that revisits the oft-discussed tale of friends becoming lovers, or, in this case, of a woman discussing her renewed interest. It’s an unusual combination of orchestral elements with lively bits of rhythmic claps. The album Surrender releases in July.
