What is cataract surgery with eye drop anaesthesia?
Since the 1980’s while performing cataract surgery, injecting an anaesthetic medicine near the eye has been mandatory, earlier. General anaesthesia was used. However, in the last several years the surgery is performed using only eye drops to make the eye numb.
