Dear Diana, I am 22 and doing post graduate studies in engineering in Mumbai. I've been in a relationship for over a year now.
The thing is that she comes from a very conservative family. This has been a constant barrier. Our houses are in the neighbourhood but still we’re unable to meet. It’s really difficult to not see her for long and still maintain the relationship. Is there any hope for us?

Dear Wayne,
First, your girl needs to make up her mind. If she is serious about the relationship, she should take a stand. If you are staying in the neighbourhood, things should be easier as the families may be at least familiar with each other. Her folks may be conservative but if both of you are serious about each other, she needs to have a talk with them. As you two have been meeting on the sly, her folks are strict with her. If you put them at ease by telling them what both of you feel about each other, they might be at peace about their daughter meeting you.u00a0
