Dear Diana,

I am a 28-year-old guy who works for a software company. I studied in one of the finest boys’ schools in the country and this has become a problem for me. I just don’t feel comfortable when girls are around. It’s just that I can’t understand why they behave the way they do. I find most of them to be fake and dumb. I keep getting into arguments with female friends and they find me repulsive. Is something wrong with me?

Dear Mather,
Good heavens! Your problem is of your doing. You have preconceived notions that boys are smart and girls are dumb. Why not look at both sexes on equal ground? If you feel smart and superior, it is your ego acting up. Remember people are the same; differences are only on the surface, and you can recognise this through compassion. Once you make a point of seeing girls and accepting as they are, you will lose your intimidating qualities. Only then will you be comfortable with girls.
