BJP MLA Amit Satam has alleged that 1993 bomb blast accused Ibrahim Moosa alias Baba Chauhan of campaigning and supporting MVA candidate Amol Kirtikar during a rally in Andheri West on Wednesday evening. However, Kirtikar explained he has no control over anyone coming near him during the public rally.

As per the video and message shared by Mumbai BJP on social media a bearded man, who looks like the blast accused, is with Kirtikar who is contesting from Shiv Sena (UBT) in North West constituency of Mumbai. He was accused of carrying weapons to actor Sanjay Dutt's house before the serial blasts. According to a BJP worker the video was shot at a rally in Hanuman Nagar at Tata Compound on Wednesday evening. Satam, said, “1993 bomb blasts accused Ibrahim Moosa alias Baba Chauhan seen campaigning for Kirtikar. It is seen that the candidates of Maha Vikas Aghadi are supporting the terrorists who are taking lives of Mumbaikars. Now this battle is not only a fight between Nationalist forces and the ‘tukde tukde’ gang but now between India and Pakistan.” Satam further asked Uddhav Thackeray to clarify his stand who exactly is he with. After the 1993 blasts, Balasaheb took a very tough stand but now Shiv Sena (UBT) has taken the accused along with them.

However Kirtikar shrugged off the accusation. While speaking to mid-day he said, “I don’t have any control over people who come near me during a public rally. There were around 10 to 15 policemen. Why didn’t they take action against him if they noticed him? The home department is with Devendra Fadnavis. Why doesn’t he take stern action against such people?” Kirtikar felt that BJP is afraid of losing the Lok Sabha poll and that’s why it was diverting attention from development to India and Pakistan. People are seeking answers for inflation, unemployment but BJP is not ready to give answers and provokes voters on such issues, he said.
