Assistant Commissioner of Police (ATS) Samad Shaikh, who produced Qateel in court in the afternoon, said in court: “As per the investigation of Qateel, we have came to know that Bhatkal is currently hiding in Bihar. However, Qateel is not cooperating and giving vague answers.”
Assistant Public Prosecutor A V Ausekar, while arguing for police custody, said: “During the police remand, the suspect has revealed a lot of information and to verify that it is necessary for the ATS team to visit Darbhanga and conduct extensive investigation along with the accused.”
Defence lawyer Kainath Shaikh told the court that the prosecution had had enough time to investigate the case and there was no need for further police remand.u00a0
