Heegaadre Hege?
A favourite that seen repeat performances for two years now, this Kannada classic is a humorous account of the lives of an elderly middle-class couple, Sarasamma and Mylarayya. The 'English-educated' Mylarayya is making a desperate attempt to relearn his mother tongue as it is declared the official language. Meanwhile, the couple's dream of winning a crore in a television is shattered. On the other hand, a fake film scriptwriter cons Sarasamma, who aims to be a writer. Several narratives intertwine in this hilarious tale that is extremely entertaining. Take our word for it.

Gangavatharana
This play is based on Gangavatharana, a poem by D R Bendre that narrates the horrors of the 1905 Bengal famine. The play suggests that the human world is filled with so much evil that one single Bhagirathi or Ganga cannot cleanse mankind of their sins. Here Ganga symbolises the confluence of human aspirations, which descends from heaven. An extremely moving play that is sure to get you philosophical and thinking.

SIC

A narrative that's placed in a shared hallway of three neighbouring apartments, this play revolves around the daily lives of Theo, who is a touchy amusement park ride theme music composer. The story also tells us the stories of Babette, a struggling writer and Frank, a happy-go-lucky aspiring auctioneer. This bittersweet comedy shows non-stop comedy of people struggling to survive in city that ensure they hate their lives.

Mayakkam Oxymore
What would you get if you combined the talents of a computer musician and graffiti artist and a dancer trained in Bharatnatyam? And what if the performance focused around the lives of the transgender community? For now, we're sure you'd get something very similar to Mayakkam Oxymore. We're more than excited about this performance and we think you should be too!
Performers: Cyrille Brissot, Marko-93 and Sangeeta Isvaran

Park
Three young men jostle each other to sit on the bench in a park and fight for their individual spaces. Simple in its narrative but poignant in its theme; the narration in playful banter points at contemporary issues like space, ownership and territory. Apparently, the story does not affirm to any particular opinion but in a subtle manner makes a firm statement that will surely leave you perplexed.
