"Alert troops noticed suspicious movement by a group of three terrorists opposite our post in Bhimber Ghali sector of the LoC around 8.30 a.m. today. When the terrorists were fired upon, they fled towards Pakistani side of the LoC," defence spokesman Col. Manish Mehta told IANS.

"During the search operation in the area, an improvised explosive device (IED) planted by the terrorists was recovered which was destroyed," he added.

"No damage or casualty has been reported on our side," said Col. Mehta.
