No Road ahead: The ST Bed Layout Roads have been in a mess for over a year now

There was no way a resident of the area could jump across and reach the main road. There was chaos for hours, as cars of ST Bed Layout residents heading to work piled up.

Anand Gupta, director, Accelrys, said, "It is the same situation every morning and evening. Figuring out which by-lane will be clear to reach the main road is a daily puzzle. Today, I have done two rounds of all the by-lanes in the area and all the roads were blocked. We're glad that finally the road asphalting is happening, but can't the authorities at least leave one road open for us to reach the main road?"

Sanjay Prakash, director Cisco, another resident of the area was on the edge, "This is sheer carelessness. No proper planning has gone into it. What is the use of going around in our luxury limousines when the roads are so bad? We've been waiting two years for the roads to be levelled."

u00a0Last June, local MLA Ramalinga Reddy visited the area and offered to repair the roads. He promised to get the work done in three weeks and asked people to call on his personal mobile if things were not done. He even announced his number on the mike 9480143777 but the number was not reachable the whole day.
