Shinde said that the Kumbh Mela is a centre for social, cultural, and spiritual transformation
"Prayagraj is a sacred land. It is the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers. Bathing at this holy confluence is believed to bring the ultimate purpose to life," stated the Deputy CM
"Millions of people have visited this event, yet everyone has been treated equally. No one is considered superior or inferior here. The fact that 500 million people have bathed at the Kumbh Mela is a world record," he said
Shinde also praised Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for the exceptional arrangements made for the Kumbh Mela
"Every pilgrim who comes here will take back positive energy. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made excellent arrangements for the Kumbh Mela. For the past one and a half months, Yogi Ji and his team have worked tirelessly to ensure top-notch security for the event," Shinde remarked
He further mentioned that so far, 600 million people have bathed in the Kumbh, noting that it was as if half of India's population had taken a dip in the Ganga, carrying the river's sacred water back to their homes
"The sacred waters of the Ganga and the positive energy of the Kumbh will reach every home in the country, leading to progress," Shinde added
Shinde also expressed his belief that under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Adityanath, India is not only on the path to becoming an economic superpower but is also advancing its spiritual heritage
