On Saturday, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma took a holy dip together at the sacred confluence. Triveni Sangam marks the meeting point of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers, holding immense spiritual significance.
Chief Minister Yadav expressed that taking a dip at the Sangam is a privilege earned through virtues accumulated over many lifetimes. The Madhya Pradesh CM prayed for the well-being of the state's youth and prosperity for all sections of society.
In a social media post, CM Yadav shared his experience of taking a dip with his wife, expressing gratitude for the blessings of the sacred rivers. Mahakumbh 2025 began on Paush Purnima (13 January) and will continue until Mahashivratri on 26 February.
The event has already drawn millions of devotees from both India and abroad, with participation expected to reach record-breaking levels. The Mahakumbh is not only a religious gathering but also a significant cultural event, showcasing India’s spiritual heritage.
Pilgrims believe that bathing at the Triveni Sangam during Mahakumbh washes away sins and grants divine blessings. Authorities are managing crowd control and logistics to ensure the smooth flow of devotees during the grand event.
