The Qatari leader arrived in Delhi on Monday for a two-day State visit aimed at strengthening bilateral ties. In a special gesture, Prime Minister Modi personally received the Amir at Palam Technical Airport, addressing him as his brother.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar called on the Amir shortly after his arrival in the capital. The Amir is accompanied by a high-level delegation, including ministers, senior officials, and business leaders.
He previously visited India on a State Visit in March 2015, marking another chapter in diplomatic relations. During his visit, the Amir will hold talks with Prime Minister Modi, focusing on strengthening India-Qatar relations.
President Murmu will host a state banquet in honour of the visiting dignitary. The visit is expected to enhance the multifaceted partnership between India and Qatar, building on historically strong ties and cooperation.
