Iran recently unveiled its largest drone, named `Gaza,` in honor of the Palestinian enclave devastated by ongoing war. Major General Hossein Salami, Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), and Amir Ali Hajizadeh, commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force, inspected the drone in footage aired on January 26. Previously called the Shahed 149 Gaza, the drone has been updated and renamed. Hajizadeh revealed that the drone can carry up to 12 bombs and will be used for border operations. The Gaza Strip, home to 2.3 million Palestinians before the conflict, has suffered heavy destruction due to over a year of fighting between Israel and Hamas, which is backed by Iran.
