Three hostages released by Hamas on February 8 shocked Israelis in Tel Aviv with their appearance. Ohad Ben Ami, Eli Sharabi, and Or Levy looked weak, pale, and thinner than the other hostages freed. Their families expressed worry about their physical and mental health. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called their condition shocking and promised to address it. In exchange for these hostages, Israel released 183 Palestinian prisoners, some of whom were involved in attacks that killed many people.
