A Nevada woman is being charged with attempted murder after she allegedly fired bullets at her husband for reading a pornographic book, which featured threesomes
On Sunday night, Anita Lane English, 69, tried to shoot her husband of seven years with a rifle in their Reno, Nev. home, after the book sparked a heated argument, according to Washoe County Sheriff’s Deputy Armando Avina.u00a0

“It sounds like Anita was upset, thinking that the husband was possibly insinuating something regarding them two and a friend,” the New York Daily News quoted as saying.
“At that time they did have another female guest at the residence who was just a friend of the family,” Avina explained.
Initially English, who was apparently drunk, tried to shoot him with a .30-30 rifle but the faulty lever action prevented her from using it. So she took a small handgun from another room and targeted her husband, also 69.
Luckily, English’s husband escaped from the bullets uninjured. He reached a nearby gas station unscathed and contacted the police, reported the Reno Gazette-Journal.
English was arrested Monday and taken to Washoe County Jail.
She faces two counts of attempted murder of an elderly person. She was also booked on one count of domestic battery but that has since been dropped.
