Captain Stuart Broad admitted England were beaten by a "very special" Aaron Finch innings in the first Twenty20 international against Australia at the Ageas Bowl on Thursday.
Finch hit a world-record Twenty20 international 156, from 63 balls, as Australia secured their first win over England this summer by 39 runs.u00a0Records tumbled as Finch hit a record 14 sixes, became Australia’s first Twenty20 centurion and second-quickest in the world to three figures.

“It was special striking from Finch, to hit 14 sixes in an innings,” Broad said.u00a0“I think we can say we tried everything at him as well he just played everything fantastically well.
“In Twenty20 cricket that can happen. He made it his day in quite spectacular fashion.u00a0“Sometimes you just have to say that was a very special innings.”
