The Parsee and Islam Gymkhanas have taken the legal route to get the Mumbai Cricket Association to grant them the original number of World Cup tickets.

The Wankhede Stadium is set to host the first of its five ICC World Cup games on October 21 (England v South Africa).

The matter is expected to come up for hearing in the City Civil Court today. Bombay Gymkhana, Parsee Gymkhana, Islam Gymkhana, PJ Hindu Gymkhana and Catholic Gymkhana, the five founding members of the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA), were informed by the MCA that they would be given less tickets after the ICC and BCCI issued fresh guidelines, aimed at leaving aside more tickets for the public.

Islam was to get 631 tickets, but the revised amount is 473. Parsee‘s tickets came down from 606 to 454.
