In the run chase of 152 runs against the Rajasthan Royals, Kolkata Knight Riders' wicketkeeper-batsman Quinton de Kock played an unbeaten knock of 97 runs. His match-winning innings came in just 61 deliveries, which included 8 fours and 6 sixes
With this, he registered the highest individual score for Kolkata Knight Riders during a run chase. He overtook Manish Pandey's 11-year-old record
Manish enjoyed the record for 11 long years, after he slammed 94 runs in Bengaluru against Punjab Kings in the IPL 2014 final
After Pandey's record, even Chris Lynn scored an unbeaten 93 runs against Gujarat Lions in Rajkot in 2017 but didn't come close to beating the record
Apart from Pandey and Lynn, even Manvinder Bisla scored a 92-run knock against Chennai Super Kings in the 2013 edition of the cash-rich league. In fact, former KKR captain Gautam Gambhir also has his name registered on the list. He scored an unbeaten 90 runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2016
