The Belgian side took a surprise lead in the first half through United vice-captain Michael Carrick¿s own goal in the eighth minute of the match, the BBC reported.
But, winger Depay, playing in United's iconic Number 7shirt, rescued his new club from potential embarrassment by scoring two goals in the 13th and 43rd minute.
Depay, later, crossed for Fellaini in the 90th minute to take the lead to 3-1 after Brugge defender Brandon Mechele was sent off for two bookings.
