Kuala Lumpur: Jenson Button has revealed he never thought he would still be racing in his thirties as he prepares to become only the third driver in Formula One history to start 300 grands prix. Button, 36, will join Rubens Barrichello, who started 322 races, and Michael Schumacher, who competed in 306, to complete a triple century of races at Sunday’s Malaysian GP. “When Rubens got to 300 it was unbelievable, and I thought I am never going to race that long,” said Button. The 2009 world champion will be taking a sabbatical next season.
