This one is for eco-conscious gifters. The circular economy-forward brand Phool has been tackling the massive temple-waste problem by collecting floral-waste from temples in Uttar Pradesh on a daily basis, and handcrafting them into charcoal-free incense, organic and biodegradable packaging material. We love them for this, and their products that include everything from bambooless incense sticks, handcrafted ceramic diyas, marble jhali aroma oil burner, havan samagri and the rajwaadi saunf and Indian rose mishri.

There’s also a collector’s edition pack of 55 cards (Rs 970), illustrating the stories of medieval Indian kings, known for their legendary feats. Our personal favourite though is the motichoor ladoo candles (Rs 245 for a set of four), made from soy wax. The vark or silver foiling on top of the candles has apparently been done by actual halwais—this might be too delicious to look at, just make sure you don’t eat them.
