He later revealed that he had bought it from a mobile recharge shop at Virar.
During a special drive on the suburban section between Churchgate and Virar on January 5, a ticket checking squad under the supervision of Brijesh Maurya and Chief Ticket Inspector Abdul Aziz, along with Deputy Chief Ticket Inspector M Zahid Qureshi and Chief Ticket Inspector C D Parmar found a 28-year-old man travelling with an AC monthly season ticket bearing ticket number C 72461282, UTS number X01TDCH080 from Churchgate to Virar for Rs 2,205.

On further questioning, the passenger confessed that he had bought the said pass from a mobile recharge stall from Virar West. Subsequently, he was handed over to the railway police at Andheri and charged with forgery and cheating under various sections of the IPC.
