IMD scientist Sushma Nair on Tuesday said the temperatures are likely to be in the range of 37 to 38 degrees Celsius for the next two days

The heatwave alert has been issued for Mumbai, Thane, Raigad and Ratnagiri on February 25 and 26, the IMD said

According to an IMD weather alert, a “yellow warning” has been issued for heat wave in Mumbai, its neighbouring Thane district, and Raigad and Ratnagiri districts in the Konkan region

In its daily bulletin, the IMD said, “Heat wave condition likely over isolated pockets of Konkan and Goa on February 25 and 26”

The high temperatures are likely to continue for the next two days
