The weather department predicted a "partly cloudy sky with possibility of occasional moderate spells of rain in the city and its suburbs" over the next 24 hours

The maximum temperature in the city is likely to settle at 31 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature will be recorded at 27 degrees Celsius

A high tide of about 3.30 metres was expected to hit Mumbai at 3.23 pm on Tuesday, the BMC said

The civic body also said a low tide of about 1.31 metres is expected at 9.34 pm on Tuesday

Meanwhile, two persons were killed after a two-storey house collapsed amid heavy rainfall in Maharashtra's Gondia district in the wee hours of Tuesday, an official said

Heavy rains lashed the district in the last 24 hours, with the Kamtha circle in Gondia tehsil recording the highest rainfall of 292.3 mm, the official said

The Regional Meteorological Centre in Gapur has sounded a red alert for the district for the next 24 hours
