Rohit Shetty, who brings together Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol on screen after a five-year gap in 'Dilwale', insists his film is not a remake of 'Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi'
Bollywood lovers will have the opportunity to crush over Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, arguably the most romantic pair of Hindi cinema, all over again. Rohit Shetty has brought them together in his upcoming project titled Dilwale. The jodi was last seen in My Name Is Khan (2010).

Shetty rubbishes rumours about his film being a remake, stating that he had the script from the time he was making Chennai Express (2013). He says, “There were many speculations about the cast, but it is Shah Rukh and Kajol. Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon are also part of the film. And it’s not a remake. It’s an action-comedy, suited for family audiences.”

The action-packed movie will roll on March 20 and the filmmaker may rope in a stunt director from abroad. “We will call a stunt director either from Fear Factor or abroad. Otherwise I have my team of stunt directors here,” he adds.
Talking about his other project, a remake of Ram Lakhan, he says he would take it up after Dilwale hits the theatres. “I have not even thought about the casting now, though there are several speculations surrounding the film. I will only do the casting once I finish this (Dilwale),” he suggests.
