Harnaaz Sandhu was teary-eyed while taking her last walk as the outgoing Miss Universe. At the event, she paid a special tribute to former winners Sushmita Sen and Lara Dutta, by wearing a black gown that featured pictures of the only two Indian women to have won the coveted title before her.

More wins for RRR
SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR is on a winning streak! The movie starring Ram Charan, Jr NTR, Ajay Devgn, and Alia Bhatt, has supplemented its Best Original Song win (Naatu naatu) at the Golden Globes with the Critics’ Choice Awards 2023. At the second gala, it bagged two trophies, one for Best Foreign Language Film and the second for Best Song. Naatu naatu is composed by MM Keeravaani.
Rajamouli celebrates the women in his life
SS Rajamouli’s winning speech at the Critics’ Choice Awards, where his Telugu film RRR won two titles, is being applauded. Dedicating his award to the women in his life, Rajamouli said, “To all the women in my life, my mother Rajnandani, she thought school education was overrated and she encouraged me to read comics and story books, and she encouraged my creativity. My sister -in-law Sreevalli, who became like a mother to me, she always encourages me to be the best version of myself. My wife Rama, she is a costume designer of my films, but more than that, she is the designer of my life. If she is not there, I am not here today. To my daughters, they don’t do anything, their smile is enough to light my life up.”

Dino heads down south
Dino Morea is set to make his foray in Telugu cinema with Surender Reddy’s spy thriller, Agent, in which he will play the antagonist. “Early on in my career, filmmakers perceived me as a sweet, good-looking boy. I was offered to play a romantic hero, but never got an opportunity to do an all-out action film. I have a knack for action as I am fit and flexible, but no one has ever tapped that part of my personality. In Agent, I will get to do raw, brutal action and I’m excited about that.”

Amrita Rao, and her husband, RJ Anmol are set to turn authors with a romantic book that will trace their journeys that eventually led them to each other. The duo announced the release of Couple of Things, which will include the “good, bad, and controversial” aspects of their lives, and will apparently hit the stands around Valentine’s Day.

Within the short span of a few weeks, reality TV show Shark Tank’s mentor Namita Thapar has courted controversy on two occasions. She was previously criticised for refusing to invest in a beauty company, merely because her friend and co-mentor Vineeta Singh also owns one. Now, it appears that one of her sons attempted to tarnish her image online. On her Instagram stories, a picture of Thapar was recently shared. “This is Namita’s son. I just want the world to know that the person you see on TV is not who you think she is. Un-follow her as soon as possible. Will explain why in due course of time (sic),” the caption read. However, Thapar deleted the post, and offered an explanation. “This is what hate does to this world, makes people toxic. An educated house-help who was fired stole my phone and put up a hateful post on me on social media,” she wrote. Huh!

A recent Instagram post has suggested that Shah Rukh Khan has secured the fourth spot on the list of the world’s richest actors, beating Tom Cruise and George Clooney. With a net worth of $770 million, Khan sits behind Dwayne Johnson on the list. Johnson’s net worth is estimated to be $800 million. The list is topped by Jerry Seinfeld, who has a whopping $1 billion net worth. Khan, who has been away from the big screen for four years, returns with Pathaan.
