We have always thought of R Madhavan as the sweet guy from Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein who won hearts with his charming smile and romantic gestures. Over the years, the actor has played many roles, some bordering on the grey, but as a face of pure evil? This one is a first. The actor is starring as the antagonist in Shaitaan, a film also featuring Ajay Devgn and Jyothika in major roles. Madhavan is seen as the devil incarnate in this one, and he is playing it to the hilt.

The trailer of Shaitaan, directed by Vikas Bahl, was released earlier today, showing Madhavan entering Devgn and Jyothika's home as a harmless stranger, only to reveal his true self later. He hypnotises their teenage daughter, and then unleashes havoc in their lives.
The film takes the audience on a journey with Kabir (Devgn) and his family as their fun weekend retreat takes a nightmarish turn when they let a friendly but mysterious stranger into their house. As the clock ticks, the family will be forced to confront their worst fears in this gripping tale that deals with the sinister elements of Indian Black Magic.
