Sofia Vergara sparks dating rumours with 12 years younger Lewis Hamilton

Actress Sofia Vergara seems to be racing down the track, and perhaps drifting towards a new romance as she has been linked to F1 champion Lewis Hamilton. With this, a hot new Hollywood couple could be in the marking, reports 'Mirror.co.uk'. The 'Modern Family' actress, 52, and the F1 legend, 40, enjoyed a lunch date in New York City recently and were all smiles as they grabbed a bite to eat. According to TMZ, Sofia and Lewis sat next to each other for the meal, joined by friends at some point, and mum-of-one Sofia was said to be so engaged in the conversation she only picked at her food. As per 'Mirror.co.uk', Sofia and Lewis left the restaurant and engaged in some flirting outside the eatery before Sofia hopped in the back of a black SUV and headed home. However, no official confirmation has been furnished by either parties so far. Lewis, who switched teams from Mercedes to Ferrari at the end of last year, was in an on-and-off relationship with Nicole Scherzinger from 2007 until 2015. Over the years, the British driver has been linked to huge celebrities like Rihanna and model Gigi Hadid. Sofia shares a 32-year-old son with his first husband Joe Gonzalez. Sofia and True Blood star Joe Manganiello, 48, tied the knot in Palm Beach, Florida in 2015 but announced their separation in July 2023, with their divorce settled at the start of last year. Speaking in January 2024, one month before her divorce was finalised, Sofia opened up about her split from "younger husband" Joe Manganiello, revealing a disagreement over children led to their separation. At the time of announcing their split, Sofia and Joe described it as a "difficult decision" without delving into the details behind their unexpected breakup. In an interview with Spanish newspaper 'El Pais', Sofia got candid about the end of her relationship with the Magic Mike actor, citing their differing views on starting a family as the cause for their split. "My marriage broke up because my husband was younger; he wanted to have kids and I didn't want to be an old mom", she said. "I feel it's not fair to the baby". Hilary Duff offers shelter to Mandy Moore's family amid ongoing LA wildfires

Mandy Moore and her family are finding solace in the kindness of friends after losing their home to the ongoing wildfires ravaging parts of Los Angeles. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actress and singer, alongside her husband Taylor Goldsmith and their loved ones, sought refuge with Hilary Duff and her husband Matthew Koma, following the destruction caused by the LA wildfires that began last Tuesday.           View this post on Instagram                       A post shared by Mandy Moore (@mandymooremm) In a heartfelt Instagram post, Griffin Goldsmith, Moore's brother-in-law, expressed deep appreciation for the generosity shown by Duff and Koma. Both of Goldsmith's homes were also impacted by the fires, leaving him and his wife displaced during a particularly challenging time as they anticipate the birth of their first child. Griffin Goldsmith took to social media to express his gratitude, writing, "All of this is so overwhelming. But what is equally overwhelming is the amount of love and generosity we are on the receiving end of," adding "Our dear friends @matthewkoma and @hilaryduff thought it wise to set up a GoFundMe for us to help with everything moving forward. Not to mention, they are currently housing my brother's family. They've taken care of my entire family from the moment this began. I will never be able to thank them adequately. This is the kindest act any human could do for another. They are the most beautiful, selfless people we've ever known." Despite the incredible outpouring of support, Moore faced criticism on social media after sharing the GoFundMe link. Some questioned why she wasn't contributing her own resources, to which Moore responded with frustration. "People questioning whether we're helping out our own family or attributing some arbitrary amount of money Google says someone has is NOT helpful or empathetic. Of course, we are. Our buddy Matt started this GoFundMe and I'm sharing because people have asked how they can help them. We just lost most of our life in a fire too. Kindly F OFF. No one is forcing you to do anything," Moore shared in an Instagram post. Amid the devastation caused by the Eaton Fire, Moore has shared moving updates on her social media accounts, giving her followers a glimpse of the destruction in Altadena, California, where her home was located. "This is Altadena. Leveled. My sweet home," Moore wrote, adding, "I am devastated and gutted for those of us who've lost so much. I'm absolutely numb."           View this post on Instagram                       A post shared by Mandy Moore (@mandymooremm) Moore also revealed that, although the main structure of her home still stands, it is uninhabitable. "Everyone we know lost everything. Every house on our street is gone. My in-laws. My brother and sister-in-law--6 weeks from welcoming their first baby. Our best friends. Feeling weird survivor's guilt," Moore shared, adding, "We love this community and will do everything we can to help rebuild and support." The wildfires, which have devastated large portions of the LA area, first ignited in Pacific Palisades and spread to Malibu and Santa Monica, with the Eaton Fire particularly impacting the Altadena-Pasadena area. In the aftermath of the destruction, LA County remains under a "particularly dangerous situation" red flag warning issued by the National Weather Service. While one fire, the Hurst Fire, is nearly contained, a new wildfire, the Auto Fire, broke out overnight in Ventura, burning more than 50 acres, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Still from All We Imagine As Light

Payal Kapadia's 'All We Imagine As Light' nominated for BAFTA 2025

After getting nominated at Golden Globes, Payal Kapadia's film 'All We Imagine As Light' has now bagged a nomination at BAFTA 2025. 'All We Imagine As Light' scored a single nomination in the Best Film Not in the English Language category. The movie was longlisted in three categories at the BAFTA, including Best Director, Best Original Screenplay and Best Film Not in the English Language. However, it garnered only one nomination. In 2024, the film made history by becoming the first Indian film to win the prestigious Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival. Payal was nominated in the Best Director category at the Golden Globe Awards this year. She did not win the award but still it was a moment of pride for Indian fans. All We Imagine As Light was also nominated in the Best Film Not in the English Language Category, but lost to Emilia Perez. 'All We Imagine as Light' is currently streaming on Disney + Hotstar in India, where it premiered from January 3. The BAFTA 2025 awards will be streaming live and exclusively in India on Lionsgate Play this February 16.  About All We Imagine As Light Starring Kani Kusruti, Divya Prabha, and Chhaya Kadam, the film is an official Indo-French co-production between Petit Chaos from France and Chalk & Cheese and Another Birth from India. The film follows Prabha, a troubled nurse who receives an unexpected gift from her estranged husband, and Anu, her young roommate seeking intimacy with her boyfriend. A trip to the beach town of Ratnagiri allows them to confront their desires. In 2024, the film won the prestigious Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival. It recently won the Best International Feature at the New York Film Critics Circle, as well as the Best International Feature trophy at the reputed Gotham Awards 2024. Former President of the United States, Barack Obama, also mentioned it in his list of favorite movies of 2024. All We Imagine As Light trimmed for OTT release The autonomy that web platforms exercise while censoring shows became evident in May 2024, when Jio Cinema dropped from its platform a 2019 episode by British comedian John Oliver that revolved around Indian elections. In the latest case of self-censorship, select scenes of Payal Kapadia’s All We Imagine as Light were altered for its digital release on Disney+ Hotstar. Interestingly, additional disclaimers relating to the consumption of cigarettes and alcohol have also been added to the OTT draft.  A source tells mid-day, “About 30 seconds of the film has been trimmed, but none of the key scenes have been tampered with. Even a contentious scene involving frontal nudity has been left untouched. With that said, at a later point in the film, when the characters are seen drinking, a disclaimer has been added. This wasn’t in accordance with the recommendation of the CBFC but an additional [call] taken by the platform.”

Disney accused of stealing idea for Moana, sued for 10 billion dollar

Disney has been sued for a staggering amount of 10 billion dollars by an animator who claimed that they stole his idea for Moana franchise. Buck Woodall filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against The Walt Disney Company in California federal court on Friday for lifting several elements from his decades-old screenplay for an animated film titled Bucky without his consent. Animator makes shocking claim against Disney  The lawsuit, filed Friday by Buck Woodall in California federal court, claims the Disney films exhibit “breathtaking” similarities to his script, “Bucky the Wave Warrior” or “Bucky,” an animated feature he says was inspired by his “unique exposure” to Polynesian culture. Both Bucky and Moana follow “a teenager who defies parental warnings and embarks on a dangerous voyage,” according to the lawsuit, per People. The lawsuit also named production company Mandeville Films and Jenny Marchick, head of feature development for DreamWorks Animation. In the lawsuit, Woodall claimed that he brought the idea for his Polynesian-inspired film to Marchick and her then-employer Mandeville Films in 2003. He alleged that the exec shared Woodall's copyrighted story with Disney.  The filmmaker also alleged that over years of development, Marchick “prodded” him for more content tied to his “Bucky” concept — including an animated trailer, storyboards and a full script, all of which he said he provided. On “the eve of the release of ‘Moana' in 2016, Marchick allegedly told Woodall that she wasn’t sure any of the materials he sent her “made it beyond her desk,” according to the lawsuit. However, Woodall contended that the content was already in Disney’s hands when he submitted the final draft script of “Bucky” in 2011 to Marchick. Woodall is seeking 'at least $10 billion' in damages and 2.5% of the gross revenue from 'Moana 2' and related merchandise, a sum he estimated to be “at least $5 billion.” Moana 2 box office  The film is inching closer to the 1 billion dollar mark at the box office beating Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer at the box office worldwide. The Disney sequel collected 11.6 million dollars across over 53 markets in its seventh weekend. Therefore, the film’s international cume stands at 555.4 million dollars, and allied to the domestic cume of 434.9 million dollars, the global gross mounted to a staggering $990.3 million. It is now around $10 million away from the 1 billion dollars milestone. It will achieve that mark next week.

Just days later, Hugh and Sutton didn't hold back on the PDA as they were captured sharing a heated kiss. In photos obtained by Mail Online, the pair were photographed in the car while at a San Fernando In-N-Out as they repeatedly kissed each other.
