Taylor Swift's song Is It Over Now? From The Vault made fans believe that it tracked her breakup with Harry Styles

Taylor Swift and Harry Styles called it quits almost a decade ago. While they've moved on in their respective lives, her followers noticed a connection between the relationship and the new From the Vault tracks from 1989 (Taylor’s Version), Is It Over Now? Through the song, she told the tale of a breakup which fans feel has some association with Styles.

Is It Over Now? traces the tale of an unclear ending of a relationship. She asks, "Was it over when she laid down on your couch?" as the singer touches upon the topic of infidelity on both sides. "Was it over when he unbuttoned my blouse?" Swift asks. 

The lyrics of the song strongly hinted that the track is inspired by Taylor's breakup with Harry. The second verse has lyrics like, "When you lost control / Red blood, white snow," which indicates the incident that reportedly happened while on a ski trip with Styles. 

Furthermore, reference to "Blue dress on a boat," took fans back to the time when her picture of her looking sullen on a boat was published by the Daily Mail in January 2013. It was reportedly taken when she was leaving a vacation with Harry in the British Virgin Islands after their breakup. 

According to reports, Taylor and Harry met at an awards show in 2012. They had a highly-publicised second date at the Central Park Zoo in New York City. Within a few months of dating, they broke up. Reportedly, Taylor's songs Out of the Woods and Style were inspired by their romance. Speculations were rife that I Wish You Would, I Know Places and All You Had to Do Was Stay also had a connection with the former One Direction singer.

Ahead of 1989's release, Taylor shared with Rolling Stones, "Different phases of your life have different levels of deep, traumatizing heartbreak. And in this period of my life, my heart was not irreparably broken. So it's not as boy-centric of an album, because my life hasn't been boy-centric."

As per a friend's statement around the time of their breakup, Harry chased Taylor for some time to spend a weekend together in spring 2012. The friend shared, "They got really close, and he was all, like, 'You're amazing — I want to be with you. I want to do this.' Soon after that, when Styles was on tour in Australia with One Direction, he allegedly texted Swift to alert her to a picture of himself on the Internet 'kissing a friend good-bye,' but said, 'It's no big deal. When Swift searched online for the picture, however, she found that they were 'making out like with their hands all up in each other's hair.'"
