Kishwer Merchant, who is expecting her first child with actor-singer husband Suyyash Rai, shared glimpses of her baby shower. She dressed up as a bride, adorned her hands with henna and even wore chooras. The Bigg Boss 9 contestant wanted the godh bharai to be as dreamy as her wedding. "Baby Hum dono kaafi alag hai but saath mien PERFECT @suyyashrai Hi papa to be," wrote Kishwer Merchantt on social media, along with an adorable picture from her baby shower.

Suyyash too shared a pretty picture from the baby shower on social media, along with a note, which read, "I did everything possible to make this day special for you ❤️ I only wish that you smile like this always , and I promise to take care of you two always ❤️ and forever ❤️. In a video shared on the Television actress' YouTube channel, the couple recently shared loads of interesting anecdotes from the time they discovered they are going to have a baby - from their first reaction to the news of Kishwer's pregnancy to changes in the couple. Talking about the reaction when they first discovered they were pregnant, the couple shared it was "unplanned" and it came as a shock. Suyyash said, "I got the pregnancy kit. She went to the washroom and after a while when she didn't come back, I went to check and found her on the toilet seat. She showed me the test and I went, 'Oh sh*t! Are you serious?'" There was pin-drop silence for a long time after that.
Further talking about conceiving naturally at 40, Kishwer said, "It was a miracle, blessing from God." Suyyash added, "When we see our friends or people around us freezing their eggs or opting for IVF, we feel blessed. We didn't plan it and she conceived it naturally. God just gave us to this naturally. There was no way we could refuse it."
The couple is expecting their first child in August 2021.
