As a part of the Year Round Programme, Jio MAMI hosted the screening of the first two episodes of director Abhishek Chaubey's Killer Soup, the Netflix crime thriller and dark comedy. The special preview of the series got an astounding response from the industry and Jio MAMI members. Apart from the cast and crew of the series, the screening was attended by a host of talent from the entertainment industry, including Vikramaditya Motwane, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Manavi Gagroo, Ahana Kumra, Arjun Mathur, Anubhav Sinha to name a few.

With Konkona Sensharma and Manoj Bajpayee as the leads, the series is a tantalising thriller about an aspiring and talentless home chef who conspires to replace her husband with her lover. Two of the most formidable actors of our time, Konkona Sensharma and Manoj Baypayee, have been paired together for the first time onscreen making the series a potent viewing experience. Jio MAMI Year Round Programme organised the screening as a part of Previews@JioMAMI in association with Netflix.

The Killer Soup screening was followed by an interactive session with Konkona Sensharma, Manoj Bajpayee, and the maker and showrunner of the series, Abhishek Chaubey. Speaking about the series, director Abhishek Chaubey said, "It is a unique advantage when your producer is also your casting director. Honey Trehan and his team worked tirelessly to bring to the show an absolutely wonderful bunch of actors who helped me create this unique world. This show was a great opportunity for me to go into another culture, experience it very intimately as a director while interacting with so many different talents. All actors and crew really wanted to do a great job and that helped me immensely as a director."

On another occasion, Manoj Bajpayee expressed how he always admired his co-star Konkona Sen Sharma for her acting finesse. "There are a few contemporaries that I have high regard for, and Konkona is one of them. There were moments while shooting when I fed off her energy to elevate my performance. Konkona’s dedication and passion for her craft takes centre stage as I always see her strive until she has achieved what she has aimed for. Her commitment instantly shines through, inspiring not only her co-star but the entire crew,” Manoj said.
