Madhya Pradesh and Odisha are sharing the title of theme states for the first time in the event’s history.
The Surajkund Crafts Mela features international participation from BIMSTEC nations, including Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Thailand. Artists and performers from other countries are also participating in the fair.
Several cultural performances are taking place every day at the chaupals (open-air theatres), highlighting folk art forms from different states of India and beyond.
Renowned musical artists are also gracing the stage at the fair. On Day 1, Sufi singer Satinder Sartaj mesmerised the audience with his soulful voice.
Apart from dance and music, the event also features puppet shows, storytelling sessions, etc. One can explore handicrafts and other artistic creations from different regions here.
