Bigg Boss OTT has been the talk of the town ever since its launch on Aug 8, from its contestants to its host. This season is the first time ever in the history of Bigg Boss, to be launched 6 weeks before the television version on an OTT platform Voot.

The opening night of Bigg Boss OTT was special with the host Karan Johar and contestants making grand entry dancing to hit beats choreographed by celebrity choreographer Pratik Uthekar. Pratik was seen choreographing opening acts for all contestants along with the grand act for Karan.

As a Bigg Boss Premiere night tradition of showing the house’s first look to the audience by the host, the digital season’s host, Karan had to do it in his own style. He was seen doing the house tour parodying the classic K3G (Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham) format but the Big Boss way! Later he made a grand entry on the stage dancing to the mashup of his hit songs like Radha, It’s the time to disco, and so on. Sharing his experience Pratik highlights, Karan is a fast learner and gets the steps and motions quicker than the other housemates.

Apart from the host Karan performance, all the other premier night acts of contestants were shot 7 days prior to entering the house. The opening night also had a special performance by guest Malaika Arora, who was finalised only a day before. “It was a challenge to choreograph Malaika ma’ams act overnight, but ma’am pulled the act so well adding more glamour to the grand night”, says Pratik Utekar sharing his experience of choreographing the act overnight.

Pratik praises the production house for taking all safety precautions on the sets. He says, “the house was sanitised and nobody was allowed inside, we had to instruct Karan sir from outside when he was performing inside the house”. He also adds “It was challenging to choreograph acts in short duration as the background dancers had to learn quickly as they were supposed to quarantine as well”.

Pratik is a well-recognized choreographer of Indian Reality TV, he has been a part of leading shows like Dance Dewaane, Super Dancer, Dance India Dance, India’s best dancer, So you think you can dance India. He is currently seen choreographing on the sets of Dance Dewaane season 3. Pratik also choreographs acts for Madhuri Dixit on its sets. Previously he had also choreographed Salman Khan for Bigg Boss season 14. Celebrities like Mouni Roy, Nora Fatehi, Jasmine Bhasin, Rubina Dilaik have grooved on Pratik’s moves.

Pratik has been a part of the Indian reality TV industry for a decade now and is the go-to choreographer. He started his dancing journey as a mentor in SDIPA and ventured into reality TV first as a contestant in Zee TV’s DID Doubles as a wild card entry. He was the winning choreographer of Nach Baliye Season 7 with Jodi Amruta and Himanshu. He also choreographed India's Best Dancer runner up Mukul Gain.

Pratik mentioned that he had a blast choreographing acts for Karan Johar and other contestants for the first-ever digital-only season of Bigg Boss. He also got a chance to choreograph his close friend Nishant Bhatt who is one of the housemates this season.

The ongoing Bigg Boss OTT is said to stream for six weeks, ahead of its television version Bigg Boss 15 - which it will then merge into.
