A celebrity-studded beginning

MJ Rakesh tells us how the first weekend flew past on his morning radio show

Bang... Bang... Bang... Bang... Bang... Bang! What do these six bangs remind you of? If your guess is that these are Yuvraj's six sixes, then naahhh!

These are the six super shots, Prithvi and I just walloped in the first week of 2010, giving a bang start to our brand new innings of Bengalooru Fatafat (Every morning 7 to 11 on 94.3 RadioOne).

Now, what could these shots be? I will tell you that right away in one full spree. But here's a flash news:

Rakesh just received his new year's gift from Prithvi: A magical kiss!

Must say, this has simply revived the bond between the two of us and the 'section' is going great guns for Prithvi. However, here's an account of our '6 days 6 sixes story', something that will go down in our self glorification dairy

Our autobiography:
January 1:
As every Bengaloorean wakes up to a bright new Sun on the first day of 2010, we go on air and decide, what will be the biggest headline of the year. Sandalwood beauty Pooja Gandhi comes on air and says, it will be this: 'Pooja Gandhi adopts 500 pugs!' Dear Poo, contact us if you need mugs.

January 4: It is the first working day of the year and we ask Bengalooru: one thing, what they want to do at work today so that it happens all through the year? World's youngest CEO: Suhas Gopinath comes online and says: "I will try not to carry my work, home today. And hope, it happens right through the year." Suhas...! What about people like Prithvi and I? We barely carry ourselves home.

January 5: Kolkatans gift Tendulkar and Ganguly, a lifetime free railway travel pass. We ask namma city, what should Bengalooru gift them? renowned singer, Nandita says: "Have them seated on the Golden throne and mounted on the biggest elephant in the Dasara procession in Mysore." Well Nandita, Prithvi and I do that every weekend.

January 6: It's the birthday of the Maestro who mapped Indian music on the globe: A R Rahman. Prithvi gets Rahman's blue-eyed boy, rapper 'Blaaze' to rap for him on air. January 6: Rahman: The man who made us hear sounds we never did and never would, is celebrated by Kailash Kher, singing his favourite Sufi track for him on the show.

January 7: It's the birthday of Asia's sexiest woman Bipasha Basu and we all know John Abraham is lucky. We ask Bengalooru one simple question: What've you got that John ain't got, to keep Bipasha happy? Bipasha herself croons the airwaves with her husky voice while being interviewed on the show.

Aren't these six shots, powered enough to create a thud and kick start our year with a bang? If you have got any doubts about it, contact Prithvi. He fills in as my secretary as well.

But here's a little puzzle I will leave you with. See the picture and guess who seems to have the most idiotic face. Oh... am sure, it's a give away.
