Mystery shrouds the murder of a peon whose body was found with several stab wounds in the head. If the outward register maintained at the Pearls Agrotech Corporation Ltd's to be believed, Kashinath Bhaguji Kadam (48), the office peon, had signed the register at 6 pm, which indicates he left the office at the same time.
But Rajendra More, another peon who opened the office at 10.30 am was shocked to see Kadam lying motionless inside the corner cabin in a pool of blood. More told MiD-Day, "Kadam left the office around 6 pm, and I locked the office at 7.45 pm."
Sanjay Ramrao Yadav, senior executive said that only Rajendra More and Sidhdheshwar Bhate had keys of the office.
It happened when around 50 lakh in cash was kept in the office inside the two safes.u00a0
ACP (Crime) A D Shinde said, "The primary motive behind the murder seems to be robbery. However, even though the robbers tried to break the treasury, the cash inside it is safe."
