We were Aamir'd and yes we were Maddy'd and the third idiot Sharman was also kind of cute. No living soul had been informed, other than us, but the word leaked out and fans made a beeline outside the studios.

You are the only actor who declined the offer of having your wax statue at Madame Tussauds. Why?
I love the place. No offence to them. When they approached me I didn't have time. And I do what my heart tells me to.
I always have my priorities. I have been there and I have clicked pictures with the celebrities there and I'm a huge fan of all the people there, but I was busy!
If you're ready can we tell them to call you now?
(Blushes) No no!
The world knows you as a perfectionist. What is your take on it?
I don't believe I am one. But I never leave anything undone. No matter what task I take up I will give my best.
If it's a cricket match, and if the opposition has three overs and I have two balls, I will still give my best.
Most decisions I have made in life have been mistakes, but thankfully they have turned out to be good for me.
Your all time favourite excuse?
Don't have the bandwidth (smiles).
Three things we don't know about Aamir?
I can finish the rubic cube in 28 seconds. I love to eat. Though I don't eat fast, I'm a slow eater, but I love my food. My favourite word is 'achcha' (in different tones for different moods).
Your favourite body part?
My shoulders.
Is this the reason you have a hot bod (referring to his biceps as he was carrying a thick book)?
No, I love reading. I'm reading on MK Gandhi, who I really admire.
How many idiots did you screen before you found Aamir?
Raju Hirani: I screened many and then found the right person in Aamir. The message in the movie is strive for excellence and not for success and that's what Aamir stands for.
In the movie you remove your pants quite a bit. Did you work out for it?
Sharman: Nothing of that sort. I didn't even know I will be shooting for that scene that day. A lot of women in the girls' hostel were embarrassed that day of the shoot.
Interview done, the trio left the studios for their next public appearance at a mall in the city's IT district. 3 idiots has been creating waves in the city and it will not be wrong to say that the movie is indeed one of the most popular movies to have released this season.
