The victims, all fruit vendors, were traveling to the fair in Yellapura to sell their produce, with the truck reportedly carrying over 40 traders at the time of the incident. The vehicle's sudden fall into the deep valley caused severe damage, resulting in the fatalities and injuries. Emergency responders, including local police and rescue teams, rushed to the scene to assist the victims. Dramatic visuals from the location showed police personnel working tirelessly to extricate the injured and secure the site. The victims were promptly transported to the nearest hospital for urgent medical care, with several sustained critical injuries. There was no protective wall along the road in the area where the accident occurred.
