Trump Border Crackdown: Indian Migrants deported from US via military aircraft

As the Trump administration cracks down on illegal migrants, a US military plane is deporting migrants to India, the farthest destination of military transport flights for migrants. Trump has increasingly turned to the military for his immigration agenda, including deporting migrants with military aircraft. A US official confirmed the C-17 aircraft had departed for India with migrants aboard but would take at least 24 hours to arrive. The Pentagon has begun providing flights to deport over 5,000 immigrants from El Paso, Texas, and San Diego, California. Military aircraft have previously flown migrants to Guatemala, Peru, and Honduras. The US military flights are a costly way to deport migrants, with a reported cost of $4,675 per migrant to Guatemala last week. The military's role in deportations extends beyond border enforcement, as it helps facilitate the transportation of migrants to various countries. The decision to use military aircraft for deportations is part of a broader effort to address the challenges of US immigration.
