Terrorists open fire on army vehicle in J&K, Security heightened - WATCH
Terrorists opened fire on an army vehicle in the Sunderbani Sector area, located in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district, according to officials. Fortunately, no casualties were reported from the incident. The authorities are still gathering further information about the attack and more details are expected soon. In a separate development last week, security forces achieved a major success in their fight against militants. They discovered and destroyed a militant hideout in the Simbli Shajroo area of Mahore, which is in the Reasi district. The operation was based on specific intelligence information, and it led to the recovery of a significant amount of weapons and ammunition. The seized items included four magazines, 268 rounds of AK-47 rifle ammunition, four Under Barrel Grenade Launchers (UBGL), and four packets of detonators. This operation was seen as a significant blow to anti-national elements in the region.

Nepali Army Chief General Sigdel arrives in India for four-day visit
Nepali Army Chief General Ashok Raj Sigdel arrived in India on Tuesday for a four-day visit, which will focus on strengthening military ties and exploring new opportunities for defence cooperation. This visit comes just weeks after the official trip of Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi to Nepal. During his stay from December 11 to 14, General Sigdel will meet with senior Indian military officials to discuss areas of mutual interest and collaboration. DRDO successfully conducts flight tests of Guided Pinaka Weapon System
DRDO successfully tested another Pinaka Weapon System. DRDO flight tests of Guided Pinaka Weapon System as part of Provisional Staff Qualitative Requirements (PSQR) validation trials. The flight tests have been conducted in three phases at different field firing ranges. PSQR parameters and rate of fire for multiple target engagement in a salvo mode have been also assessed by extensive testing of rockets. Earlier, French Army officer revealed evaluating the Indian Pinaka multi-barrel rocket launcher systems for their requirements. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh complimented DRDO and the Indian Army for the successful PSQR Validation Trials. He stated that the induction of this Guided Pinaka Weapon System will further boost the artillery firepower of the Armed Forces. The Pinaka MBRL is developed by the DRDO and produced by agencies including Solar Industries, L&T, and Tata. The rocket system which can hit targets at 75 kilometres and beyond with its multiple variants has already been an export success.

Akhnoor Encounter: Massive manhunt on for hiding terrorists in Asan
Following an ambush on an Indian Army vehicle in Akhnoor, police report that three terrorists are believed to be hiding in the area. In response, a large-scale manhunt is underway to locate and neutralize them. To enhance counter-terrorism efforts, the Indian Army has deployed its advanced BMP-2 ‘Sarath’ infantry fighting vehicle as part of Operation ‘ASAN’. Indian Army UAV entered Pakistan due to a glitch; the Army has requested return
In an inadvertent mishap, Indian Army’s Mini UAV drifted towards Pakistan territory on August 23. The drone got diverted towards Pakistan’s Nikial Sector due to a technical glitch, as per Indian Army. Indian Army citing media inputs said that the UAV had been recovered by the Pakistani troops in the area. Meanwhile, a hotline message has been sent to the Pakistan Army to return the said drone.
