The Tata Mumbai Marathon 2025 has kickstarted to mark a grand milestone as it celebrates its 20th edition on January 19! This iconic event, which first kicked off in 2004, has become one of the most anticipated marathons in the world, drawing thousands of runners from across the globe. And this year, it's bigger and better than ever! The marathon has attracted a diverse range of participants, from seasoned athletes to first-time runners, and features multiple categories to suit all abilities. The full marathon (42.195 km) is seeing more than 12,000 participants, while the half marathon (21.097 km) has drawn 15,000 runners. The Open 10K race will have 8,500 participants, and the Dream Run, a non-competitive category, is expected to welcome a massive 25,000 runners. The marathon route takes participants through some of Mumbai’s most iconic landmarks, including Marine Drive, Haji Ali, Chowpatty, and the Bandra-Worli Sea Link, offering runners a scenic and unforgettable experience. This year’s marathon is also highlighting inclusivity, with over 1,800 senior citizens and approximately 1,100 Champions with Disability taking part, supported by their buddies. It’s a true celebration of unity, determination, and spirit. As the race unfolds, the energy in Mumbai is palpable, with thousands of runners united by a shared passion for fitness and giving back to the community.

His mortal remains were kept in the NCPA on the 10th of October morning as scores of people gathered at the venue to pay their last respects to him. Post this, his mortal remains were taken to Worli Crematorium for last rites. Mumbai Police on Thursday issued a traffic advisory for late veteran industrialist and Tata Sons Chairman Emeritus Ratan Tata's final rites in city. The traffic advisory said that a significant gathering is expected at the crematorium in Jijamata Nagar of Worli for the final rites of Ratan Tata.
