17 February,2025 01:19 PM ISTIn a tragic incident in Maharashtra's Jalgaon district, 13 people lost their lives after several passengers of the Pushpak Express jumped off their coach due to a suspected fire and were struck by another train. The incident took place on 22nd January, around 4:45 pm. According to eyewitnesses, panic was triggered when a tea seller falsely claimed that there was a fire on the train. He reportedly pulled the emergency chain, causing the Pushpak Express to halt. Fearing for their lives, several passengers jumped off the train and were hit by the Karnataka Express, which was passing on an adjacent track at the time. The Pushpak Express, the 12533 Lucknow-Mumbai service, came to a stop after the emergency chain was pulled. Central Railway officials confirmed the incident, which resulted in the tragic deaths of 13 passengers and left several others injured. In the wake of the tragedy, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences, while the Railway Ministry announced an ex gratia payment of Rs 1.5 lakh each to the families of the victims. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also extended his condolences and announced a Rs 5 lakh ex gratia for each victim's family. Maharashtra Congress president Nana Patole also spoke on the tragic incident. Additionally, the state government will cover all medical expenses for the injured passengers. 23 January,2025 01:24 PM ISTIn a tragic incident, 11 people died and 5 others were injured as the passengers of Pushpak Express were hit by Karnataka Express. 8 ambulances and several railway rescue vans were sent to the spot in Pachora of Jalgaon district. As per Railway officials, an incident of alarm chain pulling occurred at Pachora following which a few passengers deboarded the train. The chain-pulling incident occurred due to a false rumour of fire in one of the adjacent coaches. At the same time Karnataka Express was crossing through there and going in the opposite direction. The passengers were hit by the second train.
22 January,2025 09:09 PM ISTOn the night of 9th December, a horrifying incident unfolded on the busy streets of Mumbai. A bus driver lost control, causing a deadly crash that left six people dead and 49 others severely injured. The tragedy occurred around 9:45 pm in the Kurla (West) area, near the bustling Kurla market. The electric bus, on route number 332, was traveling from Kurla Railway Station (West) towards Sakinaka. The tragic incident was caught on camera. The video shows the electric bus speeding uncontrollably through the streets. The bus brushed past parked vehicles, sparking chaos on the roads. Ramming into over two dozen vehicles—including auto-rickshaws, two-wheelers, and even a police jeep, the bus left a trail of destruction. The bus then crashed into the gates of an apartment building, bringing the madness to a halt. Emergency teams rushed to the scene, but tragically, six lives were lost, and dozens more were injured. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has announced ₹ 5 lakh financial assistance for the families of each victim of the Mumbai bus accident. The BEST, the bus service provider, will cover the treatment costs for the injured. The driver, identified as Sanjay More, was arrested and charged with culpable homicide.

10 December,2024 10:06 AM ISTA road collapse in the Mira Bhayandar Kashimira area, near Hotel Amar Palace, caused a serious accident on Wednesday night around 11 PM. The incident took place when a dumper, passing through the section of the road, overturned after the ground beneath it caved in. Tragically, the driver of the dumper died on the spot. Two other people in the vehicle were severely injured and have been taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Emergency teams from the Kashimira Police and fire brigade rushed to the scene to assist in managing the situation. The cause of the accident is believed to be poor construction quality of the road, which might have led to the collapse. To remove the overturned dumper from the pit, a crane was brought in.
