Manchester City football star Sergio Aguero has taken his partner Sofia Calzetti to a luxury resort in Uruguay for a holiday since he retired last year.

According to The Sun, Aguero, 33, rented a villa with friends in the beach town of Jose Ignacio. The villa, located near Punta del Este, is a favourite destination for the likes of supermodel Naomi Campbell and Prince Albert of Monaco, who have spent the New Year in previous years.

The Argentine footballer was forced to retire at the end of 2021 season following a heart scare.

He was also photographed relaxing in the pool of the rented villa at a private estate called Pinar del Faro. The estate is built on 89 acres of dunes, on a hill overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and boasts of its own spa and tennis club.
